West Virginia’s Michael Folk: Hillary Clinton Should Be ‘Hung’

A West Virginia man named Michael Folk said that Hillary Clinton should be tried and hung for the murders she committed. Mr. Folk, who is a Republican delegate and pilot, might get fired from United Airlines – because the company was bombarded with tweets on the matter and have started to investigate.

Michael Folk, a West Virginia lawmaker, took to Twitter, where he said that Hillary Clinton should be hung for the crimes she committed.

Late Friday afternoon, Folk took to Twitter where he shared a very controversial tweet. Mr. Folk, who is a Republican delegate from Berkeley, wrote:

“should be tried for treason, murder, and crimes against the US Constitution… then hung on the Mall in Washington, DC.”

The Tweet quickly went viral, prompting Folk to defend himself. On Saturday, Folk issued a lengthy explanation, which read:

“I wrote the tweet after watching a video of Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, head of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, ask Charles McCullough, the inspector general of the intelligence community, to see classified emails Clinton is alleged to have had on a private email server. McCullough explained that he couldn’t show the emails to Congress without getting permission from the agency that owns the information.”

United Airlines, which employ Folk as a commercial pilot, received countless messages from people, who are demanding that he be fired for being mentally unstable. Here are few of those tweets:

@united what Michael Folk did was wrong. wouldn’t want a pilot who wants people dead flying my plane.

.@united – as a customer that ALWAYS flies with you, I would not feel safe if Michael Folk is ever flying. Please review his mental state.

Terminate him – Michael Folk @united my preferred carrier!

@united Your pilot,Michael Folk, just suggested killing HRC. Not the mindset of a pilot I want to fly with. It is criminal not political.

United Airlines quickly replied by saying that they are investigating the matter. The message read:

“We are definitely aware, and are investigating this. Thanks for letting us know.”

West Virginia Democratic Party Chairwoman Belinda Biafore said in a statement:

“The mention of hanging and implication of murder should never, ever be acceptable. To think that a person in a leadership position in our state can say these types of things is baffling and should not be tolerated. Folk’s actions should deem him as unfit to serve and Speaker Tim Armstead should take action if Folk doesn’t resign. Such rhetoric has been on the rise within the Republican Party on a state and national level and has become increasingly dangerous.”

Folk did not apologize, but did say his tweet was hyperbolic, but Clinton’s supporters kept going after him, pushing him to delete his Twitter account and to hide.
