Margot Gerster, a Hillary Clinton supporter, said that she was devastated after the election and decided to go for a hike to change her mind and cope with reality.
The New York mom and her baby girl went for a stroll in Chappaqua where the Clintons have their compound, and to her great surprise, she encountered the one and only Mrs. Clinton, who was walking her dogs accompanied by her husband, Bill.
The former president snapped a picture of the trio; Gerster shared it on Facebook, and it went viral. Gerster captioned the picture on Facebook: “I’ve been feeling so heartbroken since yesterday’s election and decided what better way to relax than take my girls hiking.”
Talking to ABC, the proud Democrat said: “All I wanted to do is hug her. She looked wonderful. She was taking a nice peaceful hike with her dogs.”
She told Mrs. Clinton “that one of my most proudest moments as a mother” was voting for her. She also told the former senator that she took her baby to the polling station. Gerster added:
“She hugged me and thanked me and we exchanged some sweet pleasantries, and then I let them continue their walk.”
Supporters are happy to see Clinton doing better than expected.
